    Internship exchange

Information on special education internships in education for the visually impaired including inclusive education and a rough overview

Internships are regarded as indispensable in the university degree programme in special needs education, partly because they are stipulated in the curricula. However, self-search internships and longer, voluntary and additional internships in particular often present students with challenges, especially when it comes to finding internships. For this reason, the following moderated internship exchange attempts to actively support students in their search for internship centres as an orientation aid. It also shows the broad spectrum of pedagogical fields of activity in the context of education for the visually impaired, providing an initial overview and enabling students to familiarise themselves with a wide range of institutions. This supports students' personal decision-making skills and encourages them to take personal responsibility. Nevertheless, Leonie Priebe is always available as a specific contact person for queries at the chair and, if necessary, the JMU Internship Office under the direction of Dr Simone Gutwerk.

In the following internship exchange, a distinction is made between school and extracurricular internship offers for the sake of clarity. All internship offers are presented with the necessary information (name of the organisation, type of organisation, address, contact details, details of the internship offers, photo and a concise description of the organisation).
