    About the person

    Leonie Priebe completed a Bachelor's degree in "Ophthalmic Optics/Optometry" and a Master's degree in "Optometry/Ophthalmotechnology/Vision Science" at the Ernst Abbe University of Applied Sciences in Jena. During her Master's degree, she worked for two years as a research assistant in the "Tel-O-Rena" cooperation project between REGIOMED Reha-Klinik Masserberg and the University of Würzburg. Tel-O-Rena stands for "Telematic IRENA rehabilitation aftercare for ophthalmological rehabilitants". The interdisciplinary team is designing and scientifically supporting a digital care platform for people with visual impairments.

    Since February 2025, she has been working as a research assistant at the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg in the field of pedagogy for visual impairments, including inclusive pedagogy.
