FAQ Admission thesis
Ideally, you should start in the 5th semester. You should clarify the topic and supervision at least one year before the planned state examination.
You are free to choose your topic. You are welcome to orientate yourself on the teaching and research focuses of Prof. Dino Capovilla and Ines Matic. The topic will then be finalised in consultation.
It is not necessary to register for the Zula. You do not have to register via WueStudy and you do not have to submit an application for topic delivery.
The usual length is about 60 pages, which does not necessarily have to be reached, but serves as a rough guide.
The admission thesis must be submitted by the registration deadline for the state examination at the latest:
- Spring exam: by 1 August of the previous year
- Autumn exam: by 1 February of the same year
Submission takes place:
- Printed and bound in duplicate and
- once digitally by e-mail
- to the supervisor or to the secretary's office of the chair
- Do you know the examination office deadlines?
- Office hours or appointment with the supervisor?
- 1x bound + 1x digitally submitted?
- Declaration of independence signed and attached?
- Sticker for written term paper completed and attached to both copies?
- Confirmation of receipt and evaluation form completed and enclosed?
After correction by the supervisor, the thesis is forwarded to the examination office. You will receive the grade and the report when you view the grades for the state examination.
Here we can recommend that you attend the module "[06-B-WISS-V] Scientific work in education for the visually impaired". In this context, you can attend a writing workshop in which you can work on your topics or questions and receive counselling. Please take a look at the script for the scientific writing workshop.
