Special Education deals theoretically and practically with the Bildung, education, therapy and promotion of people, who, based on complex structures of reasons, are disabled or disadvantaged because of individual and social factors. It accompanies and supports humans with `special education needs`, so they can achieve the highest level of school- and work-related integration, social participation and can independently model their life. Special education-science is marked by multidisciplinarity, variety of methods and application orientation.
